Tournaments

Throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide there are a number of national and international sports tournaments that are played all year round, most of these tournaments take place during school holidays or over bank holiday weekends.

With Europe having different holidays to the UK tournaments can be found most weekends through June and into July.

These tournaments cover all sports including netball (youth and adult tournaments), football (youth, adult and vets tournaments 5, 7 and 11 aside), rugby (7s, 9s, beach, youth, open and vets), hockey (youth and adult tournaments) basketball (youth and adult tournaments) should you play any other sports and are interested in an international or local tournament please contact our tour operators.

Tournaments can run from 1 day to as much as 7 days. you will receive the itinerary and match schedule normally a week before the tournament which will allow you downtime to add extras onto your tour such as stadium tours, shopping and sightseeing, water sports, beach and leisure time plus much more.

A lot of the large international tournaments will start with a big opening ceremony and close with a big presentation evening often with celebrity guests to make the presentations. The likes of the Gothia Cup (football tournament) attracts over 30,000 people to their opening ceremony where each country will be represented by a participating team and flag. Other smaller tournaments will have you parade through the town/village to the playing facility where they will have entertainment and fireworks. These evenings add to the special feel when entering an international tournament
