Sporting Lisbon are one of the largest clubs in Portugal and with our contacts at FTI we have the pleasure to be able to offer your team this great experience of training like a professional at the clubs training complex with their coaches.
The Sporting Lisbon coaches will put your team through their paces ensuring they educate your players in the famous club’s playing philosophy and values.
Your team will train at the Academia Sporting which is used by the Sporting Lisbon first team and it is common for the first team players to be in and around the complex while your team are training. Unfortunately, this means the security is heightened and means the training sessions are held behind closed doors. This means only players and coaches are invited onto the complex to take part in the session with parents and supporters offered sightseeing tours of Lisbon while the players are being coached.
Sporting Lisbon even offer accommodation for players and coaches on site at the Academia Sporting with dormitories giving your players an extra special experience to live like an academy player.
Other accommodation options include 2, 3 and 4-star hotels that can offer bed and breakfast, half board or full board accommodation. Most of these hotels will come with swimming pools and in close proximity of the beach which is ideal for the group during their leisure time.
Following the coaching from the professional coaches you will want to test your players to see what they have learnt. Your FTI tour operator will organise friendly matches against local or elite Portuguese opposition, we work with you to try and find the best opposition for the level of your team to ensure an even match.
With a packed itinerary you may want to find time for some shopping and sightseeing and no training camp is complete without a stadium tour of the famous Estadio Jose Alvalade. Your group will see behind the scenes of the famous stadium which includes view points from different areas of the ground, entrance to the changing rooms, press room and even head pitch side sitting in the dug outs. The tour also includes access to the club’s museum which will highlight the history of this famous club while showcasing man of the trophies the club have won over the years
