Planning a sports tour

When planning a Sports Tour there are 3 key questions to consider When? Where? & What?

1 – WHEN? When would you be looking to travel? are your dates fixed or are you flexible? How many nights would you be looking at travelling for?

Please be aware many international tournaments take place during school and public holidays to ensure teams from all around the world are able to attend. Your FTI tour rep will be able to advise which international tournaments are available over your intended travel dates.

Training camps/friendly matches are more flexible and are available year round. Some clubs look for pre, post or mid season training camps in warmer climates. Availability and costs are dependant on high or low season travel (Out of season friendly matches against foreign opposition may be more difficult to source)

2 – WHERE? Where would you like to take your group? Do you have a country or city in mind where you would like to take your sports team?

Paris is a popular destination for a sports tour

FTI Sports Tours have world class training camp facilities across Europe and worldwide. So if you are planning a sports tour to a famous sporting city or a well known coastal destination our experienced team will work with you to find the ideal accommodation and facilities for your group, source friendly matches against local opposition and add any extras you may want to include in your trip.

3 – WHAT? What would you like to include in your sports tour experience?

Would your team prefer an international tournament playing against teams from all over the world in a tournament format? playing numerous short games with the opportunity of progressing into and competing in a final for a trophy or would you prefer to teat your team against foreign or elite opposition in friendly matches?

For some people a sports tour maybe an opportunity to see a city or country they have never visited before. Many groups add extras to their sports tour to ensure their team members have an experience they will remember for the rest of their lives. FTI will work with you to add extras such as stadium tours, city shopping and sightseeing, theme or water park entrance plus much more.
