Founded in August 2010 by director James Knowles, we originally started as Football Tours International, providing exceptional football tours to clubs, schools, and organisations across Europe and beyond. Over the years, we’ve expanded our offerings to include a variety of sports, such as rugby, cricket, hockey, netball, tennis, basketball, and as such became FTI Sports Tours.

Meet our founder
James Knowles, our founder, is a Level 3 UEFA ‘B’ licensed coach with extensive coaching experience both in England and internationally. He spent six seasons at Leeds United’s Football Academy, managing teams from U9 to U12, and enjoyed a successful tenure at Farsley Celtic FC as the head academy coach for their U19 scholarship program.
Currently, James plays semi-professional football at Tadcaster Albion and has previously played at many clubs including Emley AFC, Ossett United, FC United of Manchester, Bradford Park Avenue, and Halifax Town. His background includes youth experiences with renowned professional clubs like Blackburn Rovers, Leeds United, and Sheffield Wednesday.
